Meta Platforms Inc plans to raise $7 billion in a second bond offering, Bloomberg News reported Monday, citing a person familiar with the matter.
The 40-year bond, the longest five-part bond issue, could outperform Treasuries by 215 basis points, according to the report.
According to the report, Facebook’s parent company plans to use the funds to finance capital expenditures, repurchase outstanding common stock, and make acquisitions or investments.
Meta, which did not immediately respond to Reuters’ request for comment, raised $10 billion in its first bond offering last year.
The company beat estimates for first-quarter profit and earnings on Wednesday, pushing the stock up about 13% last week.
