SINGAPORE: A maid complained on social media that her employer was forcing her to stay and work even though she wanted to be transferred.
In an anonymous post on a housekeeping Facebook group, one maid asked others for advice. He added that it was not.
The helper writes that she has already worked with her current employer for four years and wants to move to another employer. But she added that her current employer didn’t want to give her a letter of consent to allow her transfer, so worried she asked if there was a way she could switch to another employer.
In the comments section, the maid also said that she had spoken to and begged her employers many times, but they wanted her to continue working for them. Some say it might be to return and then return to Singapore to work for another employer.
