Star Wars, Castlevania Dracula, Love, Death & Robots and more!
I have a lot of things to look forward to this month.
May in particular It’s packed with exciting new releases, almost all from Netflix and Disney +. It seems that the two streaming services are actually increasing the output. This should help Netflix make up for the last few months. It’s always fun when the new moon brings new movies and TV shows of all flavors, and that’s definitely the case here. There must be something a little between the zombie action movie and the romantic comedy of Slice of Life for everyone.
Star Wars: Bad Batch (May 4th)-Disney +
The latest Disney + original series is a sequel to Star Wars: The Clone Wars, starting immediately with the execution of Order 66. Bad Batch completely ignores the authority of the Empire and follows a nominal group of elite and experimental clones. Unsurprisingly, the group rebels against their future bosses and fights for the best possible in a rapidly changing galaxy. Star Wars: The Bad Batch is from Dave Filoni, who has recently been responsible for so many projects in this universe. The Mandalorian and Star Wars: You already have a connection with Rogue One, but is there more this season?
Everything you need to know about Star Wars: The Bad Batch is here.
Jupiter’s Legacy (May 7)-Netflix
Based on the cartoons of Mark Millar (Kingsman, Kick-Ass) and Frank Quitry (All-Star Superman), Jupiters Legacy keeps the family together despite heightened tensions and new threats to safety. I’m following an old set of super-powered parents who are struggling with. It’s time for a new generation of heroes to step up-but how can they endure the impossible feats their parents have achieved? If you read the comic, believe me. I don’t know where this is heading.
Castlevania Season 4 (May 13)-Netflix
One of the best video game adaptations ever made is nearing the end of the year- type of. Netflix plans a spin-off in the world of Castlevania Dracula, which is the final adventure of Trevor, Sypha, and Alucard. And what are they doing in Season 4? Of course, they are trying to maximize their level to stop Dracula’s imminent resurrection. Given how much effort it took to defeat the villain first, he can only hope that he will die for the foreseeable future. I know Dracula, but …
Love, Death & Robots Volume 2 (May 14th)-Netflix
love. death. robot! Need to say more? Netflix’s bizarre yet stunning animated anthology brings all of NSFW’s glory back to the second season, combining weird stories as well as weird settings. The first season was a fun mix of short, sweet episodes, great stories, and truly amazing animations. I hope this sequel is just as good.
Woman in the window (May 14th)-Netflix
This thriller follows Anna Fox (Amy Adams), the woman who feels safest when looking at the outside world from behind the window. But when the Russells move across the street, she witnesses something unimaginable. From the comfort of her home, she needs to understand where someone on the other side of the street disappeared and what really led to her disappearance. You see, I’ve been spending a little too much time at home lately. Doesn’t matter?
