If there is one important definition element that has been popular since Hedi Slimane took over Celine’s creative reins, it is the Triomphe motif. The connected Double C emblem has existed since 1972 and is inspired by the chainlinks around the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.
Triomphe is proud of its glory in Celine’s leather bags and accessories, which were first launched on St. 2018. It’s a personal favorite because of the juxtaposition of Slimane’s taste for sharp, clean lines and the details of the neoclassical design. With the exception of the sans serif logo, Triomphe is the only other CELINE emblem.
Based on the brand’s signatures that are currently recognized, the new CELINE Maillon Triomphe jewelery collection is much smaller in nature but centered around motifs. The collection focuses on links and removes unwanted decorations. Just as the brand’s ready-to-wear collection is often understated, these pieces are pure and simple in design.
Celine Mayon Triomphe is made of yellow gold with diamond pavé options available. Choose from a lovely necklace with a Triomphe link front and center, or a slightly more elaborate necklace in the shape of a Triomphe-embedded sotoire totaling about 106 cm. The minimalist design of the collection allows it to be easily layered with multiple other Maillon Triomphe pieces (or other jewelery in the arsenal) or simply layered alone.
