Jimin of BTS has made a notable return to the music scene with the release of his second solo album, Muse, on July 19. Despite his ongoing mandatory military service, Jimin has managed to stay connected with his fans by delivering fresh content. Alongside the album’s release, he has unveiled the music video for the title track, “Who,” further energizing his fanbase.
The music video for “Who” features Jimin amidst a lively urban setting, walking confidently through a crowd while accompanied by a group of background dancers. The track, infused with R&B influences, captures Jimin’s search for a muse—a face in the crowd that has inspired him over the years. The lyrics, “We have never met but she is all I see all night / Never met, she is always on my mind / Wanna give her the world and so much more / Who is my heart waiting for?” reflect a mix of longing and enchantment. The catchy beats and emotive delivery give the song an irresistible charm, suggesting it might resonate deeply with ARMYs, who have long been a source of inspiration for BTS.
In addition to the album release, Jimin is set to perform “Who” on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, marking a significant moment in his solo career. According to the press release, Muse represents Jimin’s personal exploration of finding inspiration from his surroundings, highlighting his growth as an artist.
The tracklist of Muse includes an array of songs that showcase Jimin’s versatility. It opens with “Rebirth,” followed by tracks such as “Interlude: Showtime,” “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco),” “Slow Dance (feat. Sofia Carson),” “Be Mine,” “Who,” and “Closer Than This.”
Jimin’s solo career began with the release of his debut album, Like Crazy, in March of the previous year. Meanwhile, BTS is currently on hiatus and is anticipated to reunite in 2025.
